Driving the Brezza in city traffic, the engine's good low-end torque allows for easy maneuvering without frequent gear changes. The light clutch in the manual version adds to the ease of driving in stop-and-go conditions. While the engine is adequate for city commutes, it might feel a bit strained when pushed hard on the highway, especially with a full load of passengers.

Ride and Handling:

The Brezza offers a comfortable ride, adept at absorbing bumps and potholes, especially at lower speeds. However, some reviews suggest that over very bad stretches, there can be some noticeable body movement.

The steering is light, making it easy to maneuver in city traffic and for parking. While it's convenient for everyday driving, it doesn't offer much in terms of feedback, particularly at higher speeds. Handling is predictable and safe, but the Brezza isn't designed for sporty driving. High-speed stability is generally good, contributing to a comfortable highway cruising experience. The Brezza's ground clearance of over 200mm is a plus, allowing it to tackle speed breakers and minor obstacles without much concern.

The interior of the Brezza is functional and spacious, offering good room for both front and rear passengers. The design is straightforward, with familiar Maruti Suzuki elements. The quality of plastics is acceptable for the price point, though some might find it underwhelming compared to some rivals.

Key features include a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a decent sound system. Higher trims offer features like a sunroof, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera. The boot space is adequate for most needs, and the rear seats can be folded to create more luggage room. Storage spaces inside the cabin are practical.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has a contemporary and SUV-like design. It features a flat bonnet, a prominent front grille, and well-designed headlamps, often with LED daytime running lights on higher trims. The body cladding adds to its rugged appeal. The rear design is also quite appealing, contributing to its overall road presence.

While the design is generally well-received, some opinions suggest that it might not be as striking or modern as some of its competitors. The build quality feels decent, and the panel gaps are generally consistent.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza comes with standard safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. The Tata Nexon (₹7.99 lakh-₹15.80 lakh) flexes a 5-star GNCAP rating, a 1.2L turbo-petrol (120 PS, 170 Nm) or 1.5L diesel (115 PS, 260 Nm), and a 382-litre boot, but its firm ride and pricier top trims contrast the Brezza’s smoother feel and value. 

The Hyundai Venue (₹7.94 lakh-₹13.48 lakh) offers a 1.0L turbo (120 PS, 172 Nm) or 1.5L diesel (116 PS, 250 Nm), slick DCT, and Level 2 ADAS, though its 350-litre boot and 3-star safety lag the Brezza’s space and 4-star GNCAP edge. The Kia Sonet (₹7.99 lakh-₹15.77 lakh) mirrors the Venue’s engines with sharper styling, ventilated seats, and a 385-litre boot, but its higher cost doesn’t topple the Brezza’s service network.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO (₹7.79 lakh-₹15.49 lakh) packs a 1.2L turbo (130 PS, 230 Nm) or 1.5L diesel (117 PS, 300 Nm), a plush cabin, and panoramic sunroof, yet its newer badge battles the Brezza’s resale king status. 

The Renault Kiger (₹6.00 lakh-₹11.23 lakh) tempts with a 1.0L turbo (100 PS, 160 Nm), low price, and 405-litre boot, but its 4-airbag max and basic fitments don’t match the Brezza’s six-airbag standard. 

The Nissan Magnite (₹6.00 lakh-₹11.66 lakh) aligns with Kiger’s specs and price, adding bold looks, yet its service reach falters. We see the Brezza ruling with mileage (19.8 kmpl petrol, 25.51 km/kg CNG), reliability, and features—rivals edge it on power or tech, but not overall bang-for-buck.

Brezza has got pretty tough competition from every other carmaker. Hyundai offers better features, Skoda and VW have way more powerful engines. The trick lies in Maruti’s extremely fuss-free drivability and yet to be beaten service network, with dealerships located in almost every part of this country.
