Hyundai has added a new SX+ trim to the Verna lineup, priced at Rs 13.79 lakh for the manual variant and Rs 15.04 lakh for the IVT version (ex-showroom). This variant sits between the SX and SX(O) trims, and borrows several top-end features to offer a more premium experience. Along with this launch, Hyundai has also introduced a new wired-to-wireless adapter that enables wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across select models.

More Features at a Lower Price

With the addition of the SX+ trim, Hyundai now offers a total of 10 variants of the Verna. This variant exclusively uses the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed IVT gearbox. The engine delivers 115 hp and 143.8 Nm, and offers ARAI-certified fuel economy figures of 18.6 kpl (manual) and 19.6 kpl (IVT).

The SX+ trim stands out with features like LED headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and front parking sensors. Borrowed from the top SX(O) trim are leatherette seats, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, and ventilated as well as heated front seats, making this variant a strong value proposition for buyers who want luxury without stretching to the top-end model.

Wired to Wireless Adapter Now Offered

Hyundai has also launched a new wired-to-wireless connectivity adapter priced at Rs 4,500. This device transforms the user experience by enabling wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on head units that previously only supported wired connections. It’s compatible with 10.25-inch touchscreens in higher Verna trims like SX(O), SX Turbo, and SX(O) Turbo.

The adapter is also being rolled out across other Hyundai models, including the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Exter, Venue (and Venue N Line), and Alcazar. The Creta and Creta N Line are currently not compatible.
