2024 was the bestselling year for luxury cars in India, as the total number of luxury cars sold in India crossed the 50,000 mark for the first time in history! For 2025, a ton of luxury cars are lined up to be launched in India, and as expected, a lot of them are going to be electric!
As per reports, Audi has queued up two of its newest electric cars, the Audi A6 e-Tron & the Q6 e-Tron for their India launch in 2025, and here’s everything you need to know about these-
Audi A6 e-Tron

In case you are unaware, Audi has shuffled its nomenclature for sedans and sportbacks this time. According to the new format, the Odd-numbered models will be Sedans while the even ones with even numbers will be Sportbacks.
Now, the Audi A6 e-Tron is a Sportback instead of being a luxury sedan. Moreover, this electric A6 is based on the same platform as the Q6 e-Tron and Porsche Macan Electric.
In the international markets, Audi is selling the A6 e-Tron in a total of three different powertrain options. For the base, an 83 kWh battery pack powers the rear wheels putting out 282 horsepower. The Audi A6 e-Tron comes with a WLTP range of 610 km in its base powertrain setup.
There are two more powertrain options available overseas, one being a 362 horsepower Performance AWD and the other one is a Quattro making 422 horsepower. Both of these setups are powered by a larger 100 kWh battery pack.
It also comes with an estate version but it is very unlikely to set foot on the Indian shores.
The Audi A6 e-Tron will arrive in India by Q2 or Q3 of 2025, and we expect it to cost over 1 Crore, competing with the likes of BMW i4.
Audi Q6 e-Tron

When launched, the Audi Q6 e-Tron will be the first ever electric Audi to be assembled in India. And that gives Audi the chance to price it very competitively against the likes of the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
The Audi Q6 e-Tron comes with a set of 85 kWh and 100 kWh battery packs just like the A6 e-Tron. If you want more power and fun, the SQ6 e-Tron variant is the one for you making 388 horsepower with a Quattro setup.
The base spec, however, gets the same powertrain as the base A6 e-Tron, with a claimed 640 km WLTP range and 282 horsepower powering the rear wheels.
